Due to the sensitive nature of operational security for certain Factions, the ongoing conflicts between factions, and the general desire to keep certain information confidential, there is a system in place called redacted.
Clause I of redacted | Secrecy
Various situations call for secrecy. Whether it is a personal secret or an operation against an enemy faction, such information will often not be displayed for public viewing. Instead, it will be hidden behind five authorities. These authorities are as follows.
Authority 1 | Public Access
This authority is already permitted upon viewing the page. The information shown is safe for anyone to know and find themselves familiar with. This is mainly towards ENTITIES, ITEMS, and LEVELS.
Authority 2 | Trusted Access [KEYLOCKED]
This authority permits access to information that is restricted beyond public viewing. The information may include sensitive details not intended for general distribution, but are not considered hazardous if mishandled. Access is granted only upon "purchase" using the required number of scrips. Acqusition of Scrips can be found in Clause II.
Authority 3 | Allied Access [FACTION REQUIREMENT]
Authorities 3, 4, and 5 will also require an amount of Scrips in order to access.
This authority permits access to information that is restricted beyond public viewing entirely. The information includes sensitive details that is not intended for general distribution, and is considered hazardous if mishandled. This information takes form of the following.
- Alliance benefits
- Operations, Logistics, and Strategies
- Certain information distributed between allied factions
- Certain information on important Figures
Authority 4 | Faction Low-Rank Access [FACTION REQUIREMENT]
Authority 4 and 5 refer to information within a faction the reader is in.
This authority is only accessible to trusted persons and faction members. The information includes sensitive operational intelligence intended for faction internal use only. If mishandled, it may result in compromised operations, personnel and material loss, and faction vulnerability.
Due to faction ranking systems, Low Ranks cannot use Scrips to view Auth-5 information.
Authority 5 | Faction High-Rank Access [FACTION REQUIREMENT]
This authority is only accessible to trusted persons and faction members. The information includes sensitive operational intelligence intended for faction internal use only. Information stored here is considered high-stakes information, and if mishandled could have devastating consequences such as,
- Assignments, Missions, and Directive failures
- Exposure that allows for Hostile actions
- Dissolvement of Alliances
- Dissolvement of the Faction
If the Reader is a High Rank in their faction, the Reader automatically has access to Authority 4.
This Authority system is to ensure that certain information can be accessed
Clause II of redacted | Scrips
Scrips are a type of "currency" used to access Authority to certain pages. As long as the Reader has the sufficient Scrips, the Reader can access certain pages that have more information than its surface.
To get Scrips is to give information, which the Reader can do so here, or by pressing the [INPUT] button on the bottom of the navigation bar to the left. Depending on the type of information, it is graded on a scale from 1-5, which also indicates how many Scrips you will earn for an Input. It will be graded on how well it is written. Clear, concise, detailed, and well proofed information is what Bird is looking for.
Scrips also act as a sort of reputation system. If the Reader is convicted of an Offense, the Reader's Scrips may be deducted. Hitting the negatives requires the Reader's Scrip count to reach a total of 15 before being able to access Auth-2+ pages.
Offenses can be found in Clause III.
Clause III of redacted | Offenses
Offenses are unruly actions that negatively affect your Scrips. Some of these offenses are;
- Killing a Named Character on your own
- Sharing the Authority Keys
Clause IV of redacted | Wartime
When two factions have openly and active hostile relations, the Authority that they gain access to via Scrips will be limited, as to not give either factions unfair advantages against one another.
