What is TALES?

The Archive of Lived Experiences and Stories is an unofficial faction based within the Complex.

The Curators work to preserve experiences and stories of those who wanter the Backrooms. Our mission is to document personal journies, events, and strange occurences that shape everyone's path. We provide a place for everyone and anyone to write, revisit memories, and share their unique perspective. Through our ever-changing Annex and Palimpsest, we ensure that no tale is forgotten.

Those whose stories are preserved will not fade. They will be remembered, inspiring otherse to continue, create, and to never let their voice be lost in the spaces between.

What is the Annex?

The Annex is the public database, the first page you see when you click on a document. It is available for anyone to see, and that means anyone and everyone as long as they have computer access. Basic information such as behavious, appearance, and any publicly known information can be found here.

What is the Palimpsest?

The Palimpsest is a variant of the Annex, made specifically to keep certain information hidden and private. It may keep information hidden based on a number of variables, such as if the informant wishes to keep it hidden until they recieve permission to share, if the informant wishes to keep it private, or made publicly known after their death. Some of the Palimpsest information can be view by entering its Access Key.

How do I get Access Keys?

Certain access keys are readily available for people who are apart of certain groups.
Group-A can access the Palimpsest for Group-A, but Group-A cannot access Group-B's Palimpsest without an access key.
If Group-A gains access to Group-B's Palimpsest, Group-B can request to have their Access Key changed.
